About Maria Valencia-Soto

Maria Valencia-Soto is originally from the Central Coast and in her second year of Cal Poly's Higher Education and Student Affairs (HECSA) program. She is a first-generation college student that received her B.A. in Comparative Ethnic Studies from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. During her undergrad, Maria was also a Cal Poly Scholar! She finds joy in serving a population and program that allowed her to find a community at Cal Poly. She is passionate about supporting students to ensure that they find a sense of community on their campus. Maria is currently working as a Graduate Assistant in Cal Poly Scholars, here at Cal Poly. 

In her free time, Maria enjoys taking dip in the ocean, napping, and reading a good article with a yummy cup of coffee!
