About Patricia Sanchez
Patricia Sanchez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Ethnic Studies from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a Master’s degree in Ethnic Studies from San Francisco State University. Her research primarily focuses on the educational disparities faced by marginalized communities, with particular attention to the financial challenges encountered by students of color. Her work examines the emotional turmoil caused by financial instability and its detrimental effects on academic performance. She has also conducted research on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education, particularly in relation to its exacerbation of existing inequalities. As part of this research, she conducted and analyzed interviews with students to gain insight into their diverse experiences during the pandemic.
